# Send a test event

> Queue one `webhook.test` event built on a real account: the one you name, else the most recently active. It is signed, retried and logged like a real event.

Queues one `webhook.test` event built on a real account. Pass `account_id` to choose it. Otherwise the most recently active account is used.

It goes through the same signed, retried delivery as a real event and shows in the [delivery log](/public-api/webhooks/deliveries). Expect it within 30 seconds.
