# Record insights

> Record what a call or email taught you about your own business. Workspace-level, with no account. Near-duplicates of existing insights are skipped.

Records what a call or email taught you about your own business. Send every insight from one source in one call. Facts about the account itself belong in a [note](/public-api/notes).

`category` is one of `product`, `positioning`, `market`, or `buyer`. Near-duplicates of existing insights are skipped, so `written` can be lower than `submitted`.
